Dr. Whitney McCarthy graduated summa cum laude with her B.S. in Biology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. McCarthy went on to receive her Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas where she stayed to complete her Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. McCarthy then completed the Stuart C. Lauchlan Fellowship in Gynecologic Pathology, Breast Pathology and Gynecologic Cytopathology completing it at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She completed her fellowship in Cytopathology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas in the spring of 2018.
